This Privacy Policy explains how English IPA (“English IPA”, “the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the App to learn and practise British English pronunciation.

1. Information we use

The App may store your language preferences, sound-check results, training plan, favourites, learning progress, practice history, and settings on your device. If you use the microphone, the App processes the recording you choose to make so it can provide speaking feedback.

If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, App version, device details, and a description of the issue.

2. Audio and recordings

Listening features use reference audio where available. Speaking features use recordings made by you to provide playback and pronunciation feedback. We do not use recordings for advertising.

3. How information is used

• To provide sound checks, lessons, examples, practice, and feedback.
• To save your preferences, progress, favourites, and history.
• To respond to support requests and improve reliability.

4. Purchases

Any purchases offered by English IPA are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your full payment-card details. Apple’s terms and privacy policy apply to App Store transactions.

5. Sharing and retention

We do not sell your personal information. Information may be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the App, users, or our rights. Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed for support, security, records, or legal obligations.

6. Children

English IPA is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date above indicates when the current version took effect.
