What is English IPA?

Where should I start?

Begin with Sound Check. Read the suggested words aloud and the app will highlight sounds to practise first.

How is my training plan made?

Your plan is based on the sounds identified by Sound Check. It turns them into short lessons and practice prompts.

What does a sound lesson show?

Lessons cover the phoneme, example words, tongue position, height, lips, and how the mouth shape changes the sound.

What are minimal pairs?

Minimal pairs are words that differ by one sound, such as ship and sheep. They help you notice and produce tricky contrasts.

How does speaking feedback work?

Record a practice word and the app compares what it hears with the target sound. You’ll see a score, sound-by-sound feedback, and a next suggestion.

Can I hear examples?

Yes. Tap the speaker icon wherever an example is available to hear the target pronunciation before you practise.

How can I report a problem?

Email your device model, iOS version, app version, and a short description. Screenshots are welcome.
