Hiragana is used for native Japanese words and grammar. Katakana is commonly used for loanwords, names, and emphasis. Kana Coach supports both paths.
Review brings back characters based on your answers. A difficult character will appear again sooner; a confident answer lets it rest longer.
Your lessons, preferences, and progress are stored by the App so you can continue where you left off. Deleting the App may remove local data.
Open the App’s settings and choose Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the Apple ID used to make the purchase.
